Additional Information

If your party is larger than 12, we can usually offer an additional double room which is attached to the owner's property next door (at additional cost) taking the capacity up to a maximum of 14 guests. The room has its own entrance and has separate shower, WC and sink. The room has apparent sandstone walls and contains the ancient 'four a pain' opening (bread oven) and chimney breast. It is only a few steps away from the Gite.

Cots are available on request which can be placed in bedrooms 2-5
Either of the trundle beds from Bedroom 1 can also be moved into bedrooms 2-4 on request to make a family room
Stair gates will be placed at the top and bottom of the staircase if your party includes a guest aged between one and five years old.

Accessibility

External

The property is located in a village on the slope of the Dordogne valley and access is via small, often steep and winding country roads. Vehicles over 2.5 tonnes are not permitted access to the road leading to the property and camper vans may be too wide to access the property. Access to the driveway of the property is on a slope.

Internal

As the property is built on sloped land, it has a number of internal steps on both floors. Access to the upper floor is via a wide but dogleg staircase with a bannister rail on one side.

Access to bedrooms 3-5 and bathroom 2 is via an additional 4 steps down in the upper corridor.

The bedframe in Bedroom 4 is quite low and therefore may not be suitable for guests who have difficulty getting to a standing position.

If anyone in your party is likely to struggle with the internal steps in the Gite, you may wish to consider booking a separate double room (attached to the owner's property next door and only a few steps away from the Gite). This room has its own private entrance (one step) and has separate shower (with integrated seat), WC and sink (one small step up). Used by the previous owners as a Bed & Breakfast room, the space is comfortable, quiet and well lit, and is ideal for older guests or guests with accessibility requirements.

If you have any questions about the accessibility of the property, please Contact Us before you book and we'll be happy to provide as much extra information as you need.
